I got my start bartending at Kofusion, where I learned the basics and really fell in love with the craft. After working at Somas and the Axe Bar for a few months, I realized how much I enjoyed mixing drinks and connecting with people. The energy of creating something special for guests, making them feel welcome, and seeing them enjoy the moment—it’s what made me want to keep going. As a business grad from the University of Illinois, it just felt like the right time to take the plunge and start my own mobile bar. Now, I get to combine my passion for bartending with my entrepreneurial spirit, creating fun experiences wherever I go. It’s been an exciting journey, and I can’t wait to see where it takes me next!

I would ask her to show me how to make them and the biggest compliments were her telling me I made it better than her. I was hooked on making drinks that people liked. I would host parties at my coworkers’ house and family holidays and each time, everyone expected me to bring the alcohol and make drinks. I also bartended at the MC in Danville for about 6 months in 2021 and loved it but stopped once I moved to Champaign. Since then, I've always worked at restaurants with bars and worked behind the bar. I’ve been bartending with Kala since she launched the Boozie Bar in 2023 and love the team dynamic. It’s always a great time!”
